The Sudanese Army continued its targeting of strategic Rapid Support Forces (RSF) sites in Nyala, the capital of South Darfur State, after bombing a center used for gathering and training fighters with drones.
For the first time, armed forces-owned drones targeted at least two RSF sites in West Darfur State. The first targeted a camp housing large numbers of recruits in the Habayel area, as well as a military site in the town of Sisi on the road between Zalingei and El Geneina.
According to military sources, RSF elements have converted several civilian facilities in Nyala, including the student dormitories of Nyala University, into a center for gathering foreign and Sudanese mercenaries and training them in combat techniques, including drone operation.
Witnesses reported hearing three loud, unprecedented explosions, with columns of smoke rising from at least two locations inside the Musiya student housing complex. They also reported seeing ambulances rushing injured people wearing Rapid Support Forces uniforms to the Turkish hospital, which is controlled by the Rapid Support Forces' medical department, according to the Sudan Tribune.
