The Sudanese army continues to achieve major victories in the heart of the capital, Khartoum, after regaining control of the presidential palace and strategic locations on Friday.
Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah, the official spokesman for the Sudanese Armed Forces, announced on Saturday that the armed forces had achieved major victories around the Al-Muqran area and central Khartoum.
He confirmed that Rapid Support Forces members are trying to escape the army everywhere at this moment, and revealed in a statement that the army has taken control of the General Intelligence Service headquarters buildings.
The Sudanese army spokesman said in a Facebook post: "Our forces in central Khartoum are continuing to pressure the Al-Dagalo family and are in control of the Corinthia Hotel and the management of strategic facilities.
The General Intelligence Service headquarters buildings have also been cleared. They are trying to escape from our forces everywhere at this blessed moment," according to the official SUNA news agency.
