There is no doubt that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and John Cena are unforgettable shining marks in the history of Pro Wrestling, and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

Both legends crashed inside the WWE ring for many times, however, their struggle also accompanied them indirectly in the marvelous world of Hollywood.

Fans decided to revive the nostalgic, thrilling Rock-Cena segments, and set comparisons between both wrestlers' presence in the world-famed Fast & Furious film series.

Cena participated in the 9th part of the series, entitled "F9: The Fast Saga." Many film reviewers believed that Cena is a replacement for the Rock.

Rick Stevenson wrote at Screen Rant: "When John Cena joined F9: The Fast Saga, he seemed like a clear replacement for The Rock, and some special features on the film’s Blu-ray release seem to have confirmed this theory.

When asked in more recent times, neither Vin Diesel nor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has given any indication that the latter will ever return to the core franchise films. From the way the cast and crew talk about Cena in their behind-the-scenes interviews, it seems pretty clear that he’s become The Rock’s Fast and Furious replacement."

On the other hand, the last appearance of The Rock at the series was in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw that gained $ 760 million, compared to $ 716 million.

Producer Samantha Vincent explained the reasons for selecting Cena: “We needed someone who we believed could really take Dom down – a similar physical build, intelligent, really brings their own persona to screen."

In the same context, director JJ Perry highlighted: "We have a professional wrestler, that offers up the best-case scenario for someone who will retain choreography.” Diesel himself was a bit more direct, saying that, “In John, I have a partner in wanting to make something significant.”
