The Rial's Collapse Reflects the Final Disintegration of the Regime's Economic Structures and the Beginning of a Comprehensive Social Explosion

Alireza Sedaghat, an economist and opponent of the Iranian regime, stated that the accelerated collapse of the national currency and the US dollar reaching unprecedented historic thresholds is far more than a monetary crisis; it serves as the official announcement of the structural disintegration of the Mullahs' economy under the weight of the external war and the end of the era of religious tyranny.

Sedaghat said: "The dollar crossing the 183,000 Toman barrier and its rapid approach toward the 200,000 Toman threshold reveals a total evaporation of economic confidence. This sharp rise of approximately 30,000 Tomans in just 40 days, coupled with a real inflation rate exceeding 60%, confirms that the Iranian economy has entered a point of no return regarding chronic instability. The national currency has lost its value as a medium of exchange and has transformed into a symbol of the regime's total collapse."

He added: "The repercussions of the ongoing external war have resulted in the systematic destruction of vital infrastructure, particularly in the steel and petrochemical sectors, which represent the main artery for non-oil foreign exchange earnings. This paralysis in production, combined with the impact of Ali Khamenei’s death—which stripped the regime of its central command—has pushed financial institutions into a dead end. Policies such as 'multiple exchange rates' and injecting liquidity have become futile measures that only further inflame the situation."

Sedaghat continued: "The mass flight of capital and the shift of households and businesses toward foreign currencies and gold is not merely precautionary behavior; it is a natural reaction to the clerical regime's failure to manage the crisis. While low-income earners bear the greatest burden of rising housing prices and basic commodity costs, the 'Resistance Units' continue their strategic role in monitoring this institutional decay. They are preparing for the transitional phase outlined by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi through the Provisional Government to ensure the transfer of sovereignty to the people according to the 10-point plan."

He explained: "The regime's desperate attempts to intimidate society in its final moments will not succeed. Its recent crime of executing eight members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), including the dedicated activists Vahid Bani Amerian and Abolhassan Montazer, proves the Mullahs' terror regarding the powerful organization of the resistance. This resistance is closely watching the crumbling foundations of power and the escalation of popular grievances, which are poised to transform into an uncontrollable social explosion."

Sedaghat emphasized: "Khamenei's absence from the scene and the fractures tearing through the top of the power structure have made it impossible for any government intervention to change the Rial’s downward trajectory. We are witnessing the cumulative result of decades of systematic looting and the mortgaging of the country's resources for regional wars, which has reached its inevitable end today due to the structural collapse of the economy."

Sedaghat concluded: "The dollar crossing these historic psychological barriers is not an isolated phenomenon, but the decisive indicator that the Velayat-e Faqih system has exhausted all its means of survival. The only solution to save Iran from a comprehensive economic catastrophe begins with the complete overthrow of this regime and the establishment of a democratic republic that ends the squandering of the people's wealth in foreign conflicts and rebuilds what tyranny has destroyed."
