Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and his entourage inspected the manufacturing workshops at the Sukari gold mine in Marsa Alam today.
They then visited the underground mining operations and the mine's solar power plant.
The Prime Minister began by inspecting the mine workshops and the dump truck unloading unit, which is manufactured locally. He also listened to an explanation from Engineer Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, who provided an overview of the methods used in underground gold extraction operations and the latest equipment used at the Sukari mine.
Engineer Karim Badawi said, "The Sukari mine contributes to supporting small production projects for the people of Marsa Alam and the surrounding areas, as part of community development efforts."
The first mining industry school has been completed in Marsa Alam.
