The President receives a phone call from the Prime Minister of Spain

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.

Counselor Dr. Ahmed Fahmy, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, stated that the call dealt with bilateral relations between the two countries, where the two sides praised the level of relations and the momentum they are witnessing, and stressed their keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields in accordance with the interests of the two friendly peoples.

The official spokesman added that with regard to the regional situation, especially in the Gaza Strip, the Egyptian efforts to calm the situation and implement humanitarian aid to the Strip were reviewed, and the Spanish Prime Minister praised the Egyptian role on the political and humanitarian tracks to end the current crisis, and for his part, Mr. President appreciated the Spanish position on the current crisis, Praising the movements of the Spanish Prime Minister to support peace in the region, and in this context, the seriousness of the military escalation in the Palestinian city of Rafah was confirmed due to its dire humanitarian consequences.

The two sides also addressed the recent regional tensions, and stressed that there is an urgent and urgent need to end the current state of tension to restore peace and security in the region.

The centrality of work to reach a just and comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian issue was emphasized, especially by activating the two-state solution by expanding recognition of the independent Palestinian state, which will support efforts to restore security, stability and peace in the region.
