“The Portable Door” Film Adaptation in Development

Multi-Golden Globe nominee Sam Neill and Two-time Oscar-winning Christoph Waltz are set to star in a film adaptation of "The Portable Door", a series of novels by Patrick Holt.

"The Portable Door" is a fantasy adventure that follows two interns who start working at a firm where many employees are involved with magic.

The movie also stars Patrick Gibson, Miranda Otto, Chris Pang, Jessica De Gouw, Rachel House, Arka Das, Damon Herriman, and Sophie Wilde.

The project is currently filming in Queensland, Australia, which is slated to be released in 2022.

The movie is penned by Leon Ford, directed by Jeffrey Walker, and is produced by Jim Henson Company production.

"The Portable Door" was released in 2003 and is the first book in Holt's J.W. Wells & Co series that includes six other novels.

Both Neill and Waltz have been very busy lately. Neill is set to star in "Thor: Love and Thunder" and "Jurassic World: Dominion", while Waltz will appear in  "The French Dispatch", James Bond's latest installment "No Time to Die", and a new version of "Pinocchio".
