The mayor of the municipality of the Israeli settlement of Sderot confirmed today, Friday, that its government has agreed to extend the period of hotel stays until the end of January 2024.

On Friday evening, the Israeli Channel 12 quoted the mayor of the municipality located next border line with the Gaza Strip, as saying that he had received a message from the Israeli government stating that it had been decided to extend the stay of settlers in hotels until the end of next month.

In a related context, an Israeli official said on Friday that there is a clear deterioration in the cases of Israelis suffering from previous psychological and neurological traumas.

Today, Friday, the Israeli Reshet Bet Radio quoted Dr. Gadi Rappaport, Deputy Director of the Israeli Merhavim Hospital, regarding the treatment of civilian and military citizens who are victims of previous wars, saying that these are the people most vulnerable to the exacerbation of their psychological and medical conditions.

Dr. Rappaport explained that the health and illness situation is difficult and harsh, but this is the nature of war and its results.
