The Guardian reported that more than 40 people protesting against the war on Gaza and the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Strip outside the Trump International Hotel in New York City were arrested Monday evening.
The newspaper noted that the protest, organized by the American Jewish anti-occupation organization If Not Now, began early Monday evening in Columbus Square. Hundreds gathered under a banner reading "Trump: Jews Say No More" to demand an end to the war in Gaza and for the Trump administration to pressure Israel to allow more humanitarian aid into the Strip, at a time when Gaza health officials are still reporting deaths from starvation and malnutrition.
