Pilgrims from all over the world are flocking to the Grand Mosque in Mecca to perform Umrah as the holy month of Ramadan approaches.
The circumambulation area (Mataf) of the Grand Mosque witnessed a large influx of pilgrims. Footage broadcast by Saudi Arabia's Al-Ekhbariya channel on Monday showed the smooth flow of pilgrims within the Grand Mosque, despite the large numbers. Pilgrims performed their rituals in an atmosphere of calm and order, supported by a comprehensive system of human and technological services.
The live footage revealed meticulous organization in the Mataf and Sa'i areas, thanks to the combined efforts of relevant authorities who mobilized all available human and technological resources to ensure the comfort of the pilgrims, in line with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah's plans to facilitate the pilgrims' journey.
Large numbers of pilgrims and visitors have been arriving at the Grand Mosque, filling the Mataf, arcades, and courtyards with worshippers, coinciding with the approach of the blessed month of Ramadan.
