Al-Azhar Imam Receives UAE Amb. to Discuss Enhancing Cooperation

During the meeting, His Eminence the Grand Imam welcomed the UAE Ambassador, affirming the deep ties that bind Al-Azhar to the United Arab Emirates, and noting the continuous development of these relations across various fields. His Eminence renewed Al-Azhar’s condemnation of the unjustified attacks on civilian facilities in the UAE, the Gulf countries, and the region, as well as the endangerment of civilians, praying to Almighty God to grant our countries and region security, safety, tranquility, and stability.

For his part, the UAE Ambassador expressed his pleasure at meeting His Eminence the Grand Imam and his country’s appreciation for Al-Azhar’s efforts in promoting the true teachings of Islam and fostering a culture of global peace and human fraternity.

 He affirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Al-Azhar and benefiting from its global standing and moderate approach in countering extremist thinking and promoting the values of peace and coexistence among peoples, as well as sparing the peoples of the region and the world the scourges of conflicts and wars.
