The Egyptian Jewelry designer fatma Mostafa caught the attention with her innovative designs that are a merge between the different kinds of art and modern jewelry designs. The secret behind the designer’s innovative and artistic designs is her art education seeing as she is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts. The designer talked with “See” about the basics of choosing the jewelry.

(Choosing a piece of jewelry is really important to me and the most important thing about choosing the jewelry is to choose a piece that is both different and matches your personality) Mostafa said before adding that it is also really important to look after the jewelry by keeping it in its specific box and by keeping it away from water and perfumes so, that it can keep its original color and shape.

• Strong Start
The designer started her own band in 2017 and she doesn’t launch her collections in the traditional seasons like Christmas and festivals but when the collection is ready or even just when one piece is ready. She also makes sure to release one collection every year. Mostafa specializes in designing ancient Egyptian, and Nubian jewelry.

• Collections Names
The designer launched three collections, each collection with a different name. Her first ever collection’s name was “Night & Day”, the second one’s name was “Landscape” and her third and latest collection’s name was “Water Lilies”. This collection is based on different and beautiful drawings.

The designer is originally an artist and that is the basic reason that lead her to start her own brand. She wanted the beauty of art to be applied in our daily life.

Mostafa starts her designing process by sketching, choosing the proper idea before working on the implementation of the design until its release in the market for women to wear.
