The British magazine The Economist asserted that US President Donald Trump is the biggest loser from the Iran war, noting that this war has not only hindered his main war objectives but has also exposed the shallowness of his vision for a new approach to American power.
In its report published Wednesday, The Economist stated that there is not necessarily a winner in every war, but every war certainly has at least one loser. If the ceasefire agreement in Iran does end the war there, a possibility the British magazine considers unlikely, then the biggest loser will be Donald Trump.
The Economist goes on to say that the conflict in the Middle East has not only hindered Trump's main war objectives but has also revealed the shallowness of his own vision for a new approach to using American power.
The magazine considered the peace between America and Iran to be extremely fragile, to the point that they cannot even agree on whether the truce should cover Lebanon, which is under heavy attack from Israel, making the threat to the ceasefire appear deliberate.
