The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, called for the immediate resumption of basic aid supplies to Gaza, provided that they are restored to levels no lower than during the last truce.

“Deliveries of essential supplies to Gaza must urgently resume and return them at least to the levels reached during the last truce - but what is required is much greater than that,” Ghebreyesus wrote on the X network on Saturday.

He added that civilians in the Gaza Strip need protection, food, water, shelter, medicine, and other things.

He called for an end to the violence, the release of the remaining detainees, and an end to the siege imposed on Gaza.

After the end of the temporary truce in the Gaza Strip and the return to fighting yesterday, Friday, it was reported that aid and fuel trucks had stopped entering the Gaza Strip through the Egyptian Rafah crossing.
