Today, Friday, Al-Amri Farouk, Vice President of Al-Ahly Club, died at the age of 53 years after several weeks of detention in the hospital.
Khaled Al-Amiri announced the death of his brother Al-Amri Farouk through his Facebook account.
Al-Amri Farouk was admitted to the hospital after he fell into a coma on November 7 and underwent brain surgery.
Al-Amri Farouk held several prominent positions in the Egyptian sports scene.
He assumed the position of Minister of Sports in 2012, and was a member of the Board of Directors of Al-Ahly Club for several years.
