A new football tournament that Egypt is witnessing for the first time which is the Egyptian Super Cup tournament scheduled to be held on Monday, December 25, in the UAE, with the participation of 4 clubs, namely Al-Ahly, the league champion, Ceramica Cleopatra, the League Cup champion, Pyramids, the league runner-up, and Future as the fourth league champion last season. Al-Ahly will meet Ceramica Cleopatra in the semi-final, on the 25th of this month, and Pyramids will meet Future and the winners of the two matches will meet in the final match on the 28th to win the Super Cup! The matches will be played at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium. Noteworthy, Al Ahly beat Urawa Red Devils of Japan 4-2 on Friday to claim the bronze medial in the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia. We congratulate Egypt, and we congratulate Al-Ahly and its fans, for obtaining bronze medal and for winning third place in the tournament.

But why is the Egyptian Super Cup held outside Egypt even though the four teams are Egyptian?.

We are in the first stages of the new republic after presidential elections in which four candidates from different political factions participated, without any quarrels, and in which the most worthy president won, who was chosen by 38 million Egyptians, while more than forty million Egyptians cast their votes.

So why this political wedding isn't crowned with another sporting wedding that would be the beginning of opening stadiums to the fans? Playing outside Egypt had its circumstances that we all know.

But now we are proud day and night and we see with our own eyes the safety and security throughout the country as Egypt has become an oasis of fun, comfort and safety!

Well, The local championships should be held on the home soil, since no one can imagine that the English Cup could be held in Germany or the French Cup could be held in Switzerland. Let all our matches be in Egypt. Let our championships be held on our home soil, this would be better and  broadcasting the matches will be easier and it will an opportunity for Egyptians abroad to come to Egypt to attend these tournaments especially ahead of the World Cup qualifications and the African tournaments in which our clubs will participate, including new emerging teams from companies such as Ceramica Cleopatra, Future and Pyramids. I hope to see all the tournaments that are held among Egyptian clubs in Egypt.
