MGM released Wednesday the first official trailer for the upcoming sequel "The Addams Family 2", which serves as a follow-up to the 2019 movie of the same title.
The sequel arrives after the phenomenal box office results of the first movie.
"The Addams Family 2" centers around Gomez and Morticia realizing that their children are starting to outgrow the need for tradition. The Addams patriarch arranges a trip to the old camper for some family bonding. They will go where no Addams has gone before, which is to every classic U.S. landmark.
The footage highlights the adventure that lies ahead of Gomez, Morticia, Pugsley, Wednesday, and the rest of the Addams clan as they head out on a road trip vacation to remember.
The sequel reunites the cast of the first movie, including Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloë Grace Moretz, Nick Kroll, Bette Midler, and Snoop Dogg.
The movie will also feature Bill Hader and Javon “Wanna” Walton.
Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon are back to co-direct, as well as producing the project with Danielle Sterling and Alison O'Brien.
The movie is adapted from the cartoons by American humorist Charles Addams and executive produced by Kevin Miserocchi, Jonathan Glickman, Cassidy Lange, Aaron L. Gilbert, and Jason Cloth.
"The Addams Family 2" will hit theaters on October 1.
