The Tunisian Football Federation (TFF) denied on Monday what was stated by the Zamalek's chairman Mortada Mansour regarding Ferjani Sassi's coronavirus infection.

Mansour had claimed earlier that the Tunisian International player had tested positive for COVID-19.

Hicham Benamran, a member of the TFF's board of directors, said that Sassi's health condition is good, and he has not contracted coronavirus.

"Sassi took the right decision to put himself in self-isolation for 5 days, according to Tunisian health protocol," Benamran said.

"As Sassi announced, he isolated himself for five days after contacting a person with confirmed coronavirus infection.

It is worth mentioning that the 28-year-old star denied his coronavirus infection.

The Tunisian star wrote on his official account on Twitter: “Clarification: Respecting the health protocol in force in my country, I decided of my own will to put myself in self-isolation for 5 days after I was in direct contact with a case infected with Covid-19. Everything about my health condition is just a rumor.”
