A car exploded outside Trump's luxury hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday, US media reported, with circulating videos showing a large cloud of smoke rising in the area, in what seems to a firework coming out of the explosion.
CBS reported that a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside Trump Towers in Las Vegas, according to officials, who confirmed that the hotel was evacuated following the incident, while American billionaire Elon Musk, owner of Tesla, said, "A full team from the company is investigating the incident."
Later, Musk said that 'the explosion was caused by very large fireworks and/or a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck and is unrelated to the vehicle itself'.
Local police said that one person inside the car was killed and seven others were slightly injured.
An eyewitness said in a circulating video: "Something big just exploded here.. Something exploded in the valet parking section," noting that "the windows shook."
Videos posted by a resident of the Trump Hotel on social media documented the car catching fire immediately after the explosion.
We have now confirmed that the explosion was caused by very large fireworks and/or a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck and is unrelated to the vehicle itself.
All vehicle telemetry was positive at the time of the explosion. https://t.co/HRjb87YbaJ

Appears likely to be an act of terrorism.
Both this Cybertruck and the F-150 suicide bomb in New Orleans were rented from Turo. Perhaps they are linked in some way. https://t.co/MM6ehJO3SG
