Electric vehicle giant Tesla, owned by billionaire Elon Musk, has officially announced the date for its expansion into Saudi Arabia.

The company will commence operations in the Kingdom on April 10, marking a significant milestone in its global expansion strategy.

Tesla’s website has published details about the grand opening event, set to take place in Riyadh, while the company also released a promotional video on social media titled "Saudi Arabia, Here We Come."

The move aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to promote sustainable energy and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

Tesla’s entry into the market is expected to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in the region, where demand for sustainable transportation has been growing.

Meanwhile, Tesla’s stock has faced volatility, dropping nearly 50% from its peak in January. However, shares surged following the election of U.S. President Donald Trump.

The Trump administration recently reported that Tesla showrooms and charging stations have been targeted by acts of vandalism, raising security concerns.

Additionally, President Trump has appointed Elon Musk to lead efforts in streamlining the U.S. federal government, which includes reducing the size of the federal workforce.

Under this initiative, known as the Government Efficiency Task Force, Musk has overseen the dismissal of over 100,000 federal employees. The administration is also pursuing a freeze on foreign aid and the cancellation of thousands of government contracts and programs.

Tesla’s expansion into Saudi Arabia represents a major step in the company’s global ambitions and is expected to boost EV adoption in the region while aligning with the Kingdom’s sustainability goals.
