At least six civilians were killed in a suicide attack near the Foreign Ministry in Kabul, the capital city of Afghanistan, which was claimed by the terrorist organization ISIS, according to what was announced by the spokesman for the Afghan Ministry of Interior, "Abdul Nafi Thakur."
Thakur said on Twitter that the Afghan forces targeted the attacker, but the device he was carrying "exploded, killing six civilians and injuring others."
An AFP correspondent reported that the explosion occurred in front of a shopping center not far from the ministry.
The terrorist organization ISIS later claimed responsibility for the attack.
It is worth noting that ISIS has launched multiple attacks in various parts of Afghanistan run by the Taliban since the withdrawal of foreign forces from the country in 2021.
