The Minister of the Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Detainees Affairs Authority, Qadri Abu Bakr, was killed today, Saturday, in a terrible accident in the northern occupied Palestinian West Bank.
Palestinian media, including the "Palestine Today" and "SAFA" agencies, said that Minister Abu Bakr was killed in an accident near the town of Jama'in, south of Nablus.
The media outlets explained that the Palestinian minister died with his companion, and two other people were killed in the accident.
Abu Bakr was returning from a greeting celebration organized by a local institution for the children of prisoners in the presence of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas when the accident occurred, according to the Russian Sputnik agency.
For its part, the official Israeli Broadcasting Authority (Kan) and activists on social media published a video clip showing a completely charred car believed to have been carrying the minister in the back, another overturned car.
