The Telegram application outraged many users after receiving annoying messages and harassments from strangers, due to the "Nearby" feature, which enables users to chat with their close friends easily.

Users were surprised by receiving messages from people they did not know, in an obvious violation of privacy, which sparked many to go to Twitter to express their anger and annoyance about what happened.

As a result, the hashtag of Telegram dialogue took the lead on Twitter within a couple of hours.

Many users, especially girls, expressed their frustration over the "Nearby" feature in the Telegram application after it was used by some to harass them and talk to them inappropriately.

Several users posted tweets expressing their dissatisfaction, asking to delete the application permanently or remove the feature, which is causing the problem in the first place.

It is noteworthy that the "Nearby" feature is not new, as it was launched by Telegram several months ago, as part of an update for users of the application on Android and IOS, but it became popular several days ago after it has been discovered by many users in Egypt.
