Technical-level meetings are underway in Switzerland with the participation of delegation members from the four nations involved in the US-Iranian negotiations, according to Pakistan's state television, which reported that the meetings could continue until tomorrow, Monday.
For its part, Tehran stated through Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei that the Washington-led talks in Switzerland, which launched today, are scheduled for one day only, consisting of both morning and evening sessions.
Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the clauses of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with Washington serve the interests of Iran and the Iranian people, adding that the gains from these negotiations will become apparent soon.
Participants began arriving in Switzerland yesterday evening. Iranian television announced the arrival of the Iranian delegation, which includes Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, alongside officials from the Central Bank and the oil sector.
On the other side, the participating US delegation includes [Vice President] Vance, US Envoy Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner, who are already in Switzerland to oversee the technical aspects of the talks.
The meetings also see the participation of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, alongside Qatari mediators.
