American singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift has joined the star-studded cast of David O. Russell's latest movie.

Plot details about the movie and Swift's role are under wraps.

The project has already wrapped production and also stars Margot Robbie, Christian Bale, John David Washington, Rami Malek, Zoe Saldana, Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Rock, Mike Myers, Robert De Niro, Michael Shannon, and Timothy Olyphant.

Backed by New Regency, the movie is directed by Russell from his own script, for the first time since 2015’s "Joy", starring Jennifer Lawrence. Russell is also producing the production along with Matthew Budman.

The movie, which will be released by 20th Century Studios, has yet to receive a release date.

This will be Swift's second time onscreen since the 2019 movie musical "Cats".

The pop star made her acting debut in the 2010 rom-com "Valentine’s Day", after which she voiced the 2012 CGI-animated movie "The Lorax" and appeared in the 2014 dystopian sci-fi movie "The Giver". She was also the subject of the Netflix documentary, "Miss Americana", in 2020.
