'Tatweer Misr' Wins Middle East Entrepreneur Award for 2020

'Tatweer Misr' won the “Entrepreneur Middle East Award” for their outstanding contribution in the field of entrepreneurship" during the Enterprise Agility Awards ceremony for 2020, which was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The Award ceremony is organized annually to highlight the efforts of creative and distinguished inpiduals and companies who contribute effectively in improving the entrepreneurship environment in the Middle East.

Dr. Ahmed Shalaby, CEO and Managing Director of 'Tatweer Misr', received the award by default during the ceremony, and commenting on this, he said that obtaining the award is a pride for the company and an encouragement to the company's continuous efforts to support entrepreneurship.

Shalaby expressed gratitude to those in charge of the award, stressing his optimism that the field of entrepreneurship will see a promising future in Egypt and the Middle East.

He added, "Since its inception in 2014, 'Tatweer Misr' has been based on the foundations and principles of entrepreneurship. The company has shown a special interest in education and entrepreneurship as the two main pillars of its community programs over the past six years. It sponsored many activities and events and supported young entrepreneurs by establishing partnerships with them.

"In addition, the company is sponsoring a number of youth initiatives and other activities that contributed directly or indirectly to supporting and assisting education and entrepreneurship issues in Egypt," he affirmed.

He continued, “Tatweer Misr' played an important role in establishing a new International Day for MSMEs at the United Nations under the auspices of the International Small Business Council (ICSB).

To complement these efforts, the company launched the Bloomfields project in Mostakbal City in 2018, and the project includes an educational zone on an area of ​​90 acres, which 'Tatweer Misr' is developing with the aim of creating a specialized educational environment for entrepreneurs in Egypt, the Middle East and North Africa.

Commenting on the award, Wissam Younan, CEO of Entrepreneur Middle East Magazine, said: “Throughout the past 10 years since the establishment of Entrepreneur Middle East, we have dedicated our efforts to recognize prominent entrepreneurs in the region.

This has inspired us to create Enterprise Agility Awards to ensure that pioneers in various sectors are honored.” .

He continued: "With the great progress achieved by the Egyptian economy during the past years and the continuous government support that we have witnessed for small, medium and micro companies, we found it necessary to highlight the efforts of companies that have significantly worked to support and inspire creative entrepreneurs in the hope of making these companies An example to others to instill creativity and innovation in the Egyptian society as a whole. "

The decision to award the company came in recognition of 'Tatweer Misr's efforts to improve the entrepreneurial environment in Egypt and the Middle East, through several activities, the most important of which is the educational zone established with its pioneering project Bloomfields in Future City.

'Tatweer Misr' Inspires Young Innovators

The project extends over an area of ​​90 acres to include 6 international schools and an international university campus ( International Branch Campus) which hosts several international universities, the first of which is the New Jersey University of Science and Technology (NJIT) and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation under management and in cooperation with the International Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), with investments exceeding 10 billion Egyptian pounds.

'Tatweer Misr' also worked on the establishment of the first Base Camp in Egypt within the Monte Galala project located on the Galala Mountains in Ain Sokhna, and this project is being held in partnership with the famous entrepreneur Omar Samra and was initially opened during the last quarter of 2020.

The project includes 'The Maqam' in the heart of the mountain, which houses places for camping and accommodation and sporting activities such as climbing, yoga, and a number of restaurants, in addition to paths designated for walking between the mountains.

As part of expanding the scope of its entrepreneurship activities, the company launched the innovation competition in 2017 with the aim of supporting and empowering entrepreneurs to provide innovative solutions and ideas to deal with the various challenges facing the real estate market in Egypt.

Within the competition the participants get the opportunity and the required support to enrich their skills and technical capabilities, which helps them prove themselves as entrepreneurs in various fields, in addition to giving them the opportunity to realize their dream on the ground. This is based on the experience of developing Egypt in entrepreneurship and mainly sponsoring the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Egypt since 2015.
