Tarek Hamed, a Zamalek midfielder, is allegedly on his way to Saudi Arabia once his contract with the White Knights expires.
Hamed has been going for several weeks since he travelled to Europe for medical treatment without authorization from the club.
This season, the 33-year-old has made 18 appearances in all competitions, helping Zamalek to the top of the Egyptian Premier League.
However, club president Mortada Mansour announced that Hamed's contract will not be extended and that the midfielder will leave Zamalek after eight years due to current scandal.
According to Al-Riyadiyah, Hamed has already made his decision and will join Ittihad Jeddah in the Saudi Pro League next season.
