It has been 16 years since the departure of Iconic Egyptian actor Ahmed Zaki, who left this world on March 27, 2005, at the age of 55 after a struggle with illness.
Zaki, born on November 18, 1949, starred in more than 60 artistic work, which is still popular among the public. He was characterized by his talent, skill, ability in impersonating, and his on-screen intensity.
The late actor presented many artistic works, perhaps the most notable were his brilliant role as the late President Gamal Abdel Nasser in the movie "Nasser 56" and "Sadat" as well as "The Emperor", "The Black Panther", and "Arba'a Fi Muhimma Rasmiya".
Zaki rose to stardom after starring in the 1978 play "Al Ayal Kibrit", then he starred as the Dean of Arabic Literature, Taha Hussein, in the 1979 TV series "Al Ayam".
On his 16th death anniversary, take a look at seven of his rare photos that were not released before, which featured the iconic actor with his colleagues from the artistic community on various occasions as well as photos from the behind-the-scenes of his artistic work and a photo with his former mother-in-law of his only wife, late actress Hala Fouad.
Among the rare photos were of Zaki with the late veteran actor Nour El-Sherif and a second with the "Cinderella of Egyptian cinema" Soad Hosny.
The photos also featured Zaki with stars Mervat Amin and Elham Shahin.
Also among the shots is a 40-year old photo from the behind-the-scenes of the 1981 movie "Taer Ala Al-Tareeq", which was directed by Mohamed Khan.
