The Syrian presidency announced on Friday evening that President Bashar al-Assad visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and met with the Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, Shiekh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Today's visit paid by al -Assad is the first foreign visit in 6 months.
The accounts of the Syrian presidency added that Assad met bin Rashid in his resting place in Al-Marmoom in Dubai.
It said that during the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid welcomed the visit of President al-Assad and the accompanying delegation, which comes within the framework of brotherly relations between the two countries.
The meeting dealt with the overall relations between the two countries and the prospects for expanding the circle of bilateral cooperation, especially at the economic, investment, and commercial levels, in a way that lives up to the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.
