Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa received the US Special Envoy to Syria, Thomas Barrack, at the People's Palace in the capital, Damascus.
The Syrian Presidency stated that Al-Sharaa's meeting with the US envoy was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Al-Shaibani.
In a brief statement, it reported that the meeting discussed the latest developments in Syria and the region, ways to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries, and files of mutual interest.
