Syrian Foreign Minister Bassam Sabbagh said that the Syrian government and people stand with all their strength against the attacks of terrorist groups, referring to the situation on the ground in the northern region of the country after the attacks of terrorist groups.
This came during a phone call made by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi with the Syrian minister, Friday, according to the Iranian News Agency (IRNA).
On his part, the Iranian minister stressed his country's continued support for the Syrian government, people and army in fighting terrorism and protecting regional security and stability.
Earlier, the Syrian army announced that it regained control of some points in the Idlib and Aleppo countrysides, according to QNews Channel.
The Syrian army explained that it continues to reinforce all points on the axes of engagement in Idlib and Aleppo with equipment and soldiers, to repel attacks by armed factions, announcing losses to the armed factions after attacks in Aleppo and Idlib.
It continued: "Our forces continue to confront a major attack by armed factions on the fronts of the Aleppo and Idlib countrysides, and the attack on Aleppo and Idlib is being carried out with heavy weapons and drones."
It confirmed: "We shot down 17 drones while confronting attacks by armed factions on Aleppo and Idlib."
