Syrian Foreign Minister (FM) Faisal al-Miqdad will arrive in Iraqi capital, Baghdad, on Saturday, to discuss bilateral relations between both countries, according to a spokesman for the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, Ahmed al-Sahhaf.
In press remarks, Al-Sahhaf added that Al-Miqdad will start his visit program, on Sunday.
The Iraqi spokesman added that, Al-Miqdad will meet with Deputy Prime Minister (PM) and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fouad Hussein, as well as the three presidencies (the republic, the government, and parliament) and the head of the Supreme Judicial Council.
He pointed out that "the visit will focus on bilateral relations between Baghdad and Damascus, and the role of Iraq in Syria's return to Arab League.
Moreover, the two ministers will discuss ways to advance relations to areas consistent with the interests of the two neighboring peoples.
