A technical delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates arrived in the city of Bonn, North Rhine-Westphalia, on Sunday to finalize administrative and technical preparations for the reopening of the Syrian Consulate General.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the team is setting up the necessary infrastructure and equipment to resume consular operations in the coming period. The delegation had previously completed work on upgrading consular services at the Syrian Embassy in Berlin.
The reopening of the consulate is part of Damascus’s broader effort to strengthen the presence of Syrian diplomatic missions across Europe.
The move aims to expand access to consular services for Syrians living in various regions of Germany, providing easier procedures and faster responses to their legal and administrative needs.
