Hadi Al-Bahra, the head of the Syrian National Coalition, confirmed on Sunday that efforts are ongoing to ensure the security of the capital, Damascus.

Speaking exclusively to Al-Arabiya Al-Hadath news channel, Al-Bahra stated, "The Syrian Coalition is monitoring military operations in Damascus to ensure security and protect the citizens with the aim of restoring normalcy in the Syrian capital."

He emphasized that the process of establishing security and stability in Damascus could take up to two days to ensure the safety of all residents, as part of efforts to resume normal life and restore all service sectors to meet the needs of Syrians.

Al-Bahra also called for confronting those exploiting the current unstable conditions in Syria to spread chaos.

This statement comes at a time when the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed its commitment to continue performing its duties, dedicated to representing the Syrian people and prioritizing the nation.

Syrian state television reported that hundreds of Syrians have left Jordan and returned to their homeland through the Nassib border crossing, with expectations of increasing numbers in the coming days.

Earlier today, Syrian state television urged the public to avoid gunfire in public squares, stressing that terrorizing civilians with gunfire is unacceptable. It also called on the Syrian people to protect public and private property.
