Switzerland's Agency for Development and Cooperation has announced plans to deliver 30 debris-clearing machines and 30 fire-fighting pumps to Ukraine in the coming days.
The total value of this equipment amounts to CHF 5.6 million (approximately $6.1 million).
According to a report by Swiss radio station LFM, the agency will transport the equipment via rail for environmental reasons.
A train chartered by the Swiss Agency is scheduled to depart for Ukraine in the upcoming days, with the journey expected to take several days.
In addition to this shipment, the Swiss Federal Department of Defense, Civil Protection and Sports has provided the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Civil Defense with material handling equipment to aid in debris removal, as well as water pumps for firefighting.
This is not Switzerland's first contribution to Ukraine's recovery efforts; the country previously supplied similar equipment back in October 2022, reflecting its ongoing commitment to assist Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict.
