The Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs stated that it continues to provide a confidential and reliable environment to facilitate talks in Bürgenstock regarding the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding, noting that diplomats from various countries currently in Bürgenstock are continuing their efforts to maintain dialogue.
Moreover, Swiss Foreign Ministry added that, for reasons of confidentiality, it cannot provide information regarding attendance or the discussions taking place.
Talks that were scheduled for Friday in Switzerland were postponed. Regarding the reasons for the delay, CNN quoted sources stating that Iran requested guarantees concerning the cessation of Israeli attacks on Lebanon before starting negotiations with the United States in Switzerland.
