Superstar Angham Files for 'Khula'

Egyptian superstar, Angham, and her husband, music distributor, Ahmed Ibrahim have split after a year of marriage.

"ET bel Arabi" program unveiled that the couple had split five months ago, which was publicly declared days ago by Angham when she unfollowed Ibrahim on social media.

The program also revealed that the superstar has filed for a "khula", a procedure through which a woman can porce her husband in Islam.

The marriage had sparked a great controversy between her fans and had caused many problems for them including, Angham losing her best friend, fellow superstar, Assala Nasri, and getting into conflicts with her elder son, Omar.

It has also caused Ibrahim to lose his first wife, Yasmine Issa.

The public speculates that they split because of Ibrahim's post to his ex-wife on International Women's Day, which carried a message of gratitude to her on International Women's Day, as they unfollowed each other on Instagram afterward.

This was his first time to direct a message to his former wife since his marriage to the Egyptian superstar.

Ibrahim had also talked about the split Instagram, saying: “I loved her and everyone knows. I will not tolerate any disrespect toward her,”

In 2019, the superstar announced her marriage to the music distributor, following months of speculation over the nature of their relationship.

The fall in love while working on her latest album “Hala Khasa Gedan”, which was released early 2019 by Rotana Production Company.

The album consists of 14 songs.

Ibrahim had collaborated with Angham in distributing six songs in her new album.

Angham got married and porced three times, during which she gave birth to a boy named Omar, and to another named Abdel Rahman.

She is considered to be one of the most successful vocal female singers in Egypt and in the Middle East.
