British Prime Minister (PM) Rishi Sunak said on Saturday that the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza “must end,” six months after the beginning of the conflict.
In a statement, Sunak added, “We continue to stand by Israel’s right... but the entire United Kingdom is shocked by the bloodshed.”
He added, "This terrible conflict must end. The hostages must be released. The aid must flow, which we have made every effort to deliver by land, air and sea."
He pointed out that the children of Gaza need "an immediate humanitarian truce that leads to a sustainable and long-term ceasefire."
"This is the quickest way to extract the hostages, help them, and stop the fighting and loss of life," he continued.
