The UK will hand Ukraine 125 anti-aircraft guns and special equipment to reinforce its air defenses and battle drones, according to British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
After the UK prime minister's visit to Kyiv and talks with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Sunak said in a statement released by his office on Saturday that his country will deliver 125 anti-aircraft guns and special equipment to encounter drones.
"We are today providing new air defense, including anti-aircraft guns, radar, and anti-drone equipment, and stepping up humanitarian support for the cold, hard winter ahead," he said quoted by his office as saying.
According to the statement, the new package of defense aid amounts to 50 million ($59.5 million). At the meeting, Sunak and Zelensky also touched on "reconstruction plans" for post-conflict Ukraine.
