Sultan of Oman to Announce Pillars of Next Phase

Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman announced today Sunday in his speech that he is going to restructure the administrative apparatus of the state.

Bin Tariq added that he will take the utmost care in developing the national framework of employment, as it is one of the pillars of the national economy in the public and private sectors.

Sultan of Oman pointed out that during the past five decades of Sultan Qaboos bin Said rule; the Sultanate witnessed a comprehensive renaissance.

In his speech, he said, ”The Sultanate of Oman lost its dearest man and the founder of the contemporary state. He was the man of tolerance and harmony.”

Bin Tariq thanked the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council states, the brotherly Arab states, and the various peoples of the world for their condolences for deceased Oman.

He said to the Omani people: “The world has known Oman throughout its honorable history and peace, and we are keen to keep Oman`s message of peace to continue."

On the steps of the next stage, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq stated that education and scientific research is a top priority for the state during the next stage.

Noteworthy, bin Tariq Al Said issued a decree to replace some words in the Omani national anthem that were referring to his late predecessor, Qaboos bin Saeed.
