Sultan of Oman Pays Historic Visit to Saudi Arabia

Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman,  and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, held an official session of talks in the Saudi city of Neom yesterday evening.

At the beginning of the session, King Salman bin Abdulaziz expressed his warm welcome to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, praising the solid existing brotherly relations and the strength of the ties between the two countries, stressing that this visit will add support and enhance bilateral cooperation and joint coordination between Muscat and Riyadh.

Sultan Haitham bin Tariq affirmed that Saudi Arabia, under the wise leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, is moving forward towards its bright future, pointing out to the deep relations between the Sultanate and the Kingdom, explaining that aspects of cooperation in all fields will open up wider horizons of more bilateral cooperation that achieves the hopes and aspirations of the Omani and Saudi peoples.

As part of the visit of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq to Saudi Arabia, a memorandum of understanding was signed on the establishment of the Omani-Saudi Joint Coordination Council between the governments of the Sultanate and the kingdom, in the presence of the Sultan of Oman and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
