Sudden Heavy Rain Hits Egypt

Over the past few hours, various parts of ​​Egypt have been hit by heavy rains.

According to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) experts, greater Cairo witnessed heavy rain in several areas, most notably Faisal, New Cairo, 6 October, amid continued drop in temperatures throughout the country.

On Wednesday, the EMA revealed that the weather forecast will be partly cloudy with slight chance of rain (precipitation 56%) with widely scattered thunderstorms.

The weather would be gentle on the northern coasts, moderate on the Delta and Cairo to the north of Upper Egypt. The south, however, would be slightly cool day at night, with less visibility in the morning on parts of the northern parts of the country.

After a day of drenching rainfall, stormy weather, accompanied by thunderstorm in the form of a cold front, cold weather swept the country, accompanied by rainfall on the northern coasts, Delta, Cairo and Sinai extending to the north of Upper Egypt and south of the cities of Hala'ib and Shalateen.

A representative of the meteorology authority Ibrahim Atta said that low temperatures will continue to sweep all Egyptian cities.

Temperatures on the northwest coast recorded 27 degrees,  on the northeastern coast and north of Sinai 26 degrees. In Cairo, and delta the weather reported 29 degrees, while in South Sinai and Hurghada 33 degrees, and Upper Egypt 36 degrees.
