Sudanese Prime Minister (PM) Abdalla Hamdok arrived in Cairo on Thursday in a two-day official visit.
Egypt's Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly received his Sudanese counterpart at Cairo International airport.
Hamdok is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including, Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariam Al-Sadek Al-Mahdi, Minister of Media Hamza Al-Amir, Minister of Irrigation Yasser Abbas, in addition to the ministers of electricity, agriculture, commerce, and industry.
During his visit, the Sudanese PM is set to hold talks with a number of Egyptian senior officials to discuss ways to boost bilateral ties between both countries in various fields and follow up on the outcomes of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's latest visit to Khartoum.
It is worth mentioning that, El Sisi paid an official visit to Sudan a few days ago.
The visit comes amid a major diplomatic and military movement between the two countries, following a significant visit last week by Al-Mahdi to Cairo where she met with Sisi, Foreign Minister Sameh Shourky, and Mohamed Farid, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces.
