Mariam Al Sadiq Al-Mahdy, Sudan's Foreign Minister (FM) said that she is aspiring at exempting Sudan from foreign debts which hinder the progress of the country.

The Sudanese minister received Tuesday Jakob Jovoshevsky, adviser of security affairs with Prime Minister of Poland. They discussed aspects of cooperation in the fields of agriculture, energy, mining, and renewable energy.

She explained that Sudan looks for true partnerships, especially after leaving the list of countries sponsoring terrorism. She expressed her aspiration for Poland's participation in the Paris conference scheduled for mid-May, which is considered an opportunity to present Sudan to the world in a new way.

On his part, Jovoshevsky stressed the strength of the Sudanese-Polish relations. He expressed his country's readiness to exempt its debts to Sudan, according to the proposals presented in this regard.

On the other hand, Minister of Justice in Sudan Nasr El-Din Abdel Barry, announced yesterday, Monday, that his country has abolished the Act of Boycotting Israel ratified in 1958. The minister tweeted that the Sudanese Council of Ministers and the Council of Sovereignty have just passed a bill of boycotting Israel.

The two councils also passed the bill of adopting the Dual Financial System, the Bill of Investment, and the Bill of Partnership between the private and Public sectors.

The Sudanese Cabinet declared on April 4 the annulment of the Act of Boycotting Israel. It stresses the formidable stance of the country toward g the Palestinian state within the frame of the two-state solution.

It is worth noting that the Act of Boycotting Israel affirms the whole boycotting of the Hebrew State.

The act banned anybody from contracting in person or on behalf of others who reside in Israel or with who works for it.

On April 13, two sources affirmed that Sudan intends to dispatch the first official delegation to Israel next week to strengthen the bilateral relations established last year by US mediation.

Sudan joins the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, and Morocco that approved to normalize ties with Israel in 2020.
