Sudanese Minister of Justice Nasredeen Abdulbari announced on Monday that his country officially repealed the1958 Israel boycott law.

"We recently approved, in the joint meeting of the Sovereignty Council, the miscellaneous amendments bill, public-private partnerships law, investment law, and repealing Israel boycott law," Abdulbari wrote on Twitter.

On April 4, Sudan affirmed its firm stance towards the establishment of a Palestinian state within the framework of the two-state solution.

The boycott law was based on a comprehensive boycott on Israel, by prohibiting anyone from making an agreement by himself, or through mediation, with anyone residing in Israel, or belong to it or work for it.

Moreover, it criminalized dealing with all national and foreign companies, as well as establishments that have public interests, branches or agencies in Israel.

In January, Sudan has officially signed the Abraham Accords with the United Sates, agreeing to normalize relations with Israel.
