Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Chairman of Sudan's Sovereign Council, sent a message to President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, in which he expressed his sincere condolences for the victims of the Sohag train accident.
On Friday, Iraq expressed its condolences to Egypt over the Sohag train incident that resulted in 32 deaths and 66 others were injured.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Spokesman for Egypt’s Ministry of Health explained that immediately after the accident, 36 ambulances were dispatched, equipped with deaths and injured cases, to the evacuation hospitals: “Sohag General Hospital, Sohag Education Hospital, Tahta Hospital and Maragha Hospital.
Mujahid pointed out that the Minister of Health went to Sohag Governorate to follow up the health cases of the injured people, and to ensure that the best means of health care were provided to them.
Hala Zayed also formed a crisis and emergency room in Sohag to follow up the consequences of the accident and to provide any medical supplies in addition to providing medical teams from all specialties Medical Center to provide the necessary support for the injured people.
The Minister of Health also offered her sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, praying to God to inspire their families with patience.
