A Sudanese military plane crashed today, Wednesday, in the state of Qadarif, located on the road that connects Khartoum with Gallabat on the Ethiopian border, about 410 kilometers from the capital.
Military sources stated that the Apache plane was carrying weapons and ammunition and that the accident occurred at an airport in the state of Qadarif.
Although the plane was completely burnt down, its crew survived.
The crash site is located 25 kilometers from Qadarif in eastern Sudan, where intermittent military confrontations are taking place between the Sudanese army and Ethiopian militias and forces.
