Tensions remain high in South Kordofan as the Sudanese Army makes gains in the region, while Rapid Support Forces (RSF) continue detaining civilians. Reports indicate that RSF forces are targeting residents under allegations of providing intelligence to the army, with widespread arrests captured in videos circulating on social media.

The army is mobilizing troops along multiple fronts, particularly in North Kordofan, while RSF consolidates forces in West Kordofan in preparation for further offensives. Clashes between the two sides persist, with artillery exchanges affecting civilians, government buildings, and medical facilities.

Recently retaken towns, including Dalang and Kadugli, are under continuous RSF bombardment, worsening the humanitarian situation and threatening the delivery of essential services.

The ongoing conflict highlights the fragile security situation in Sudan’s western and southern regions and raises urgent concerns about the protection of civilians.
