The Sudanese Armed Forces announced on Thursday that 70 Rapid Support Forces members, including several commanders, were killed, and dozens were injured, while the rest fled, during a repelling of a militia attack in El Fasher, western Sudan.
The Sudanese News Agency (SUNA) quoted a statement from the Armed Forces as saying that the attack was repelled in coordination between the Armed Forces and joint forces from armed movements, the General Intelligence Service, the police, mobilized forces, and the Popular Resistance, southeast and northeast of El Fasher.
The statement indicated that the repelling of the attack resulted in the destruction of 15 combat vehicles, two fuel trucks, and a tractor, in addition to disabling a large number of rebel militia vehicles.
