Vice Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in Sudan Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo announced that Khartoum had agreed with Ankara to update previous agreements between the two countries, which are estimated to be worth more than $10 billion.

Dagalo said during a press conference after his return from Turkey on an official visit: "We signed the minutes of an agreement to update previous agreements with Turkey, which are estimated at more than 10 billion dollars."

He added that "discussions were held with officials in Turkey, and we discussed immediate obstacles. We also found Turkey serious to invest in Sudan, and we will remove all obstacles that stand in the way of implementing agreements between the two countries."

He pointed out that "among the agreements between the two countries is the new Khartoum Airport project," noting that "if we start with the Khartoum Airport implementation project, it will be the best starting blow between the two countries."

He stressed that "Turkey is one of the first to support the political change that took place in Sudan," adding that "agreements are always in the interest of the state and not in the interest of persons. Therefore, agreements with Turkey must be updated for the sake of Sudan's interests."
